Jigawa State: Monarch lauds Nigerian Army

A Monarch in Jigawa State, the Emir of Dutse, Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sanusi has applauded the establishment of the 26 Armoured Brigade in Dutse promising to support the Nigerian Army to succeed in the state.

The Emir gave the commendation at his palace when the Pioneer Commander, 26 Armoured Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Haruna Muhammad Abubakar paid him a courtesy visit as part of his familiarization tour of his area of responsibility.


Emir Hamim expressed his delight for having a major Army formation in his Emirate and commended the leadership of the Nigerian Army for establishing the Brigade in Dutse. He stated further that hosting such a formation would bring a lot of benefits to his people.

In his remarks, the Commander 26 Armoured Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Haruna Muhammad Abubakar expressed profound gratitude to the Emir and members of his council for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.

He said 26 Brigade is among the newly established Brigade in Nigerian Army to curtail the influx of criminal elements into the country and his visit is to enhance synergy with the traditional institution in the state.

Brigadier General Abubakar assured the Emirate that the Brigade will operate professionally in line with constitutional provisions and the Army code of conduct.
