The Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly has appointed with immediate effect Hon. Ahmed Muhammed Chokali (Zaria kewaye) constituency as the new Majority Leader and Hon. Bashir Idris Gatari (Lere West) constituency as the new Chief Whip of the assembly.
The appointment which followed the message from the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was read by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani.
It could be recalled that the leadership of the house on 15th September impeached Hon. Inuwa Muhammad popularly known as Mabo from the role of the majority leader of the honorable house as a result of the vote of no confidence that was passed on him.
Equally, in the sitting today, the bill for a law to establish women and youth skill acquisition and empowerment agency was presented before the house.
The bill which is a private member bill sponsored by Hon. Yusuf Salihu of Kawo Constituency is aimed towards developing and nurturing women and youth into becoming independent persons.
Contributing on the bill, the only female member in the Assembly, Hon. Comfort Amwe of Sanga constituency said if the bill is successfully passes into law, it will encourage women to support their homes,
Hence the need for a quick passage of the law by the assembly so that the executive will sign for speedy implementation.
