Kaduna State Celebrates Festivities with Arts, Vibes Project

Kaduna State’s festive celebrations took an artistic turn on the 26th and 27th, with Suchet Baba, a Nigerian writer and organizer, leading the charge in bridging the gap through her project, Arts and Vibes.

Supported by the British Council and Prince Clause Fund, the event aimed to unite artists, poets, and creatives from Northern Nigeria and beyond.

Themed “Bridging the Gap,” the event featured art exhibitions by notable artists like Imran Tilde and the Pac Martian, a silent disco, an open mic session with poets and a captivating performance by Nigerian hip-hop artist M.I Abaga.

The festivities concluded with a thought-provoking panel discussion on “Art as a Medium of Healing,” moderated by Maryam Ahmad, a senior associate at Gatefield.

Suschet Baba emphasised the significance of the 3rd edition, stating, “Bridging Gaps is all about using art to initiate a healing process for us this year.”
