Accompanied by commissioners and representatives of CGC, a Chinese firm with expertise in water infrastructure, the governor said the collaboration would support feasibility studies and provide lasting solutions to water supply challenges.

The inspection commenced at the Tamburawa Water Treatment Plant, where the governor examined critical components, including treatment machines, distribution pipelines, and other key facilities.
The visit revealed several issues, such as pipe leakages, malfunctioning equipment, and obsolete machinery affecting optimal performance.
Speaking after the tour, Governor Yusuf pledged: “We will rehabilitate all faulty components and improve operations across the treatment plants to guarantee efficient water distribution.”

He further emphasised that the partnership with CGC would play a vital role in strengthening the delivery of clean and safe water, as part of a broader strategy to revamp water infrastructure, enhance public health, and ensure sustainable access to potable water across the state.
“Providing clean and safe drinking water remains a top priority of this administration. We are committed to taking decisive steps to ensure reliable water supply for all residents,” Governor Yusuf added.
