The Kano state Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), urged indigents to register with the party for the future of Kano and Nigeria.
The state party chairman Hon. Yusuf Ado, made the call on Thursday during a press briefing on recent developments in the party.
According to him, the party remains focus on delivering effective governance and addressing needs of it constituents.
Hon. Ado was a former commissioner in the state during the Kwankwaso government also distanced the party from breakaway members who joined the African Democratic Congress(ADC).
He noted that the party at the state level remained focus on the party’s objectives and will stay united as one solid based.
He urged the insignificant defectors not to divide the party but to leave in peace, noting that, they are betrayals who have benefited immensely from the party, as such, they are commited to correcting what happened in the past.
“We have completed the Mobilisation and repositioning of our party members, ensuring that they are actively engaged and aligned with the party’s goals. This effort is crucial for strengthening our grassroots support and enhancing our operational effectiveness.
“We want to assure the national executive of our absolute loyalty in all matters concerning the conduct of party business. Our commitment to the party remains unwavering, and we stand ready to support the party’s initiatives and directives,” he stated.
On if the party will support president Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress in the 2027 elections, the party chairman noted that, they remain resolute in the PDP and would not compromise their support towards the party’s objectives; adding also that it will reject any motion regarding any coalition.
He also maintained that the party is not revalidating it membership based on those that have left the party, noting that, all it excos members are intact to steer the affairs of the party at all level.
