The Federal Government has delivered Sixty thousand, seven hundred and four, doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to Kebbi State to expand coverage of vaccination against Covid-19 Pandemic in the State.

The Commissioner for Health and Chairman State Taskforce Committee on COVID-19, Ja’afaru Muhammad, announced this while briefing newsmen at the Cold Store of the Ministry of Health, Birnin Kebbi, where the vaccines are kept.
According to the statement by Governor Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, Mr Muhammad explained that the moderna vaccines would be distributed across the twenty one local government areas of the State for immediate application to persons from eighteen years and above.
He made it clear that the moderna vaccines have been certified safe and effective by the regulating Agencies including NAFDAC in Nigeria.
Mr Muhammad advised people in the state to access the vaccines, by those who have not been vaccinated with Astrazeneca vaccine.
He said anybody who has received Astrazeneca immunization should not take moderna but await the second dose (phase) of Astrazeneca Vaccine.
He was delighted about the performance of Kebbi State in COVID-19 Vaccination during the first phase implementation excercise which placed it in third position nationwide.
The Commissioner flagged-off the roll of the moderna vaccines on behalf of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
