The Kebbi State Government has released N40 million to four tertiary institutions in the state to improve the educational system.
The funds were disbursed to support the institutions in enhancing their academic programs and infrastructure.
The institutions benefiting from the fund are: Adamu Augie College of Education, Argungu, College of Health Science and Technology, Jega, College of Advanced and Legal Studies, Yauri and Kebbi State Polytechnic, Dakingari
The Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Abubakar Tunga, said the funds would go a long way in promoting innovation and research in the institutions.
He also said that the government has released over N59 million for the accreditation of seven courses in the College of Health Science and Technology, Jega, by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The Kebbi State Government’s release of funds to the tertiary institutions demonstrates its commitment to improving the quality of education in the state.
The government’s efforts are expected to enhance the academic programs and infrastructure of the institutions, ultimately benefiting the students and the state as a whole.
