Nigerian artist Kizz Daniel has debunked reports that he was arrested in Ivory Coast for failing to perform at a concert after being paid.

Reports had claimed that the singer was taken into custody by the police in the West African country following his refusal to mount the stage at the event.

However, Kizz Daniel has come out to clear the air, stating that the reports are false and that he was never detained by the authorities in Ivory Coast.

The 29-year-old who was slated to perform at the event, cleared the air in a post shared via Instagram.

Kizz, who denied receiving payment from the organisers of the event, also claimed his crew was assaulted backstage.

“This might definitely get a lot of people in trouble but damn, enough is enough.

“CAF didn’t deal with us directly it was through an agent.
