Kogi Assembly Confirms Ojoma As New Commissioner For Agriculture

The Kogi State 8th assembly has screened and cleared Timothy Ojoma as the new commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources during the house plenary.
Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello had earlier sent his name for consideration to replace the former commissioner David Apeh who was relieved of his duties for engaging in anti-party activities.
While speaking with journalists, the new commissioner thanked the governor for his kind gesture, he declared his readiness to serve the state by way of launching new innovations in agriculture, agribusiness and mechanized farming which will put Kogi ahead of other states with his wealth of experience as a farmer.
“…Ibaji local government have people that are predominantly farmers, so I am a practical farmer and my experience in the practical aspect of farming and other aspects will contribute to the ministry. It will make the ministry grow”. Ojoma said.
It is worthy of note that the 8th assembly legislators have passed not less than three bills for second reading since their opening session on Tuesday 20th June.
