The governor said this in Lokoja at the inauguration of the distribution of medical equipment and consumables for all healthcare facilities in the state.

Ododo said that funding for the rehabilitation of the centre had been secured by the state government in all the state’s 21 local government areas.

He said that seven new centres would be cited in communities without any healthcare facility before now.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to revitalising the health sector in the state.

“No one in any part of the Kogi deserves any form of deprivation from accessing quality and affordable healthcare under my administration. Quality healthcare delivery is a multi-dimensional system which depends on joint efforts from governmental and non-governmental organisations.

“We are grateful to President Bola Tinubu for providing interventions in the health sector through development of infrastructure and human resources. We are also grateful to partners and donor agencies for supporting the state towards ensuring sustainable, affordable and accessible healthcare delivery,” he said.

Earlier, the state Commissioner for health, Dr AbdulAzeez Adams, said that the provision of the medical equipment and consumables demonstrated the commitment of the state government to ensuring good and quality healthcare delivery to citizens.
