Kogi State Guber Election: Voting commences In Lokoja

Voting processes have commenced in the Kogi State Off-Cycle Governorship election.
Materials and personnel arrive some polling units in the state capital, Lokoja as at 6:3 am local time
Voters were seen as early as 8:30 am quoting and casting their votes at Sabon Gari Polling Unit 0065 headed by presiding officer Abayomi Adeleke.
A voter, David Azeez after casting his vote said through the BVAS capturing, verification and voting everything went on fine and fast.
It did not take much time and everything was fast. Everything is going orderly and peaceful, he said.
Reasonable numbers of women were seen also casting this votes.
The Presiding officer, Usman Ilyasu of APO2 Polling Unit 069 located in Ajai Crowder College Lokoja said materials such as BVAS, Voters Register, Ink Pad Stamps among others were given to them early hence their timely arrival at the boot and commencement of voting.
We were given everything and transported down too,” he said.
With empty Streets  Market and Shops closed  residents of Kogi state have continued to obey restriction of movements for the conduct of a peaceful election in the state
Security
Security presence were noticed on the streets and polling units but meters away from polling boots as requested by the INEC Guidelines.
He said all relevant materials were given to them at the right time as they await voters.
On restriction of movements Joshua Gabriel said it was more controlled than past elections in the state.
