Labour Party Governorship Candidate vows to transform Ebonyi State

The Labour Party Governorship Candidate in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Dr Edward Nkwegu has pledged to transform the economy of the State from consumption to productive economy if elected as the Governor of the State.

The Gubernatorial Candidate made the promise during the interactive session Organised by the Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki under the leadership of Bishop Peter Chukwu.

Dr Nkwegu emphasised that he is going to create wealth through Medium Micro and Small Enterprises.

I will make our economy viable, our education will be in highest ranking for good performance, there will be general good health delivery for all. There will be adequate security to enable investors come in and develop the State in partnership. Food security will be assured,” Nkwegu said.

Similarly, the Gubernatorial Candidate of All Progressive Congress APC in Ebonyi State, Mr Francis Nwifuru delivered his manifestoes as he emphasised that all the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Institutions will be revamped in the State to the level that public education institutions will no longer be seen as the place for the poor ones.

On his part, the Governorship Candidate of Young Progressive Party YPP, Dr Sunday Opoke said his government if elected is going to be based on wealth creation.

One of my agenda is Human capital development, God created is in a way that poverty is a choice. I will develop the people above poverty level. If any part of your body is developed, you will be automatically rich”

The Gubernatorial Candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Professor Benard Odoh during the interactive session promised to lift the State from the current status of the poorest state to a better stage.
