Lagos state: CERUD to train over 250 youths on fish farming
The Government of Lagos State, has directed the Centre for Rural Development CERUD to train over 250 youths and fish farmers on fish farming techniques.
The Director, Mr Steven Adeniji, disclosed this during the second phase of the training session held in Igbodu, Epe. Adeniji that, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has directed CERUD to train youths and fishermen in Lagos State.
He said, agriculture becomes the readily available option to diversify the economy from dependence on oil.
According to him, “This year we have proposed to increase the number of amenities that we are going to provide in rural communities across the state.”
The Chairman, Lagos branch of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Femi Oke, commended the governor for the training programmes organized for youth farmers across the state.
