The Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has led a walk to give credence to the awareness of breast cancer in Lagos.
This according to her is to emphasise the importance of regular exercise towards maintaining fitness and optimal health.
Mrs. Sanwo-Olu, who participated as the Lead Jogger in the ‘2022 Jog For Life’ from Ajegunle to Apapa organized by the Lagos State Chapter of the Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria, (BRECAN) and founded by the Wife of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu said that early detection remains the best strategy to defeat Cancer.
According to her “It is important for people to adopt regular screening to ward off the threat of the disease, as early detection remains the best strategy to defeat Cancer”.
She however commended BRECAN for the various initiatives to fight Cancer and public health awareness campaigns designed to keep people updated on the prevention and treatment of the disease.
