The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar, has paid tribute to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a hero with a unique sense of patriotism in Nigeria’s history.
The Chairman of the Niger state traditional Council stated that Buhari’s passing has created a significant void that would be challenging to fill.
In a condolence message to President Tinubu, the Katsina State government and people, and Buhari’s family, Etsu Nupe praised the former president’s honesty, integrity, humility, and dedication to Nigeria.
He noted that Buhari’s love for the country and its citizens, particularly the masses, was extraordinary.
The royal father described Buhari’s demise as a monumental loss to the nation, commending him as a committed technocrat and patriotic leader.
Etsu Nupe prayed for Allah’s mercy on Buhari’s soul and for the family, nation, and people of Daura to find solace during this difficult time.
“May Allah grant President Buhari eternal rest and give his family, the nation, and the people of Daura the fortitude to bear this immense loss,” the Etsu Nupe said.
