Libyan security forces free kidnapped doctor
The Interior Ministry of Libya’s UN-backed government has said that it freed a doctor who was kidnapped in the capital Tripoli on 1st December.
Security forces arrested the kidnappers and freed the doctor, who is now in a good health condition, the ministry said in a statement.
Proper legal procedures were taken against the arrested kidnappers “so that fair legal penalty is taken against them,” the statement added.
Siddiq Khalfallah Ben Della, a 66-year-old university professor and well-known orthopedic surgeon and deputy head of a local hospital, was kidnapped in Tripoli on 1st December when his car was ambushed by four armed uniformed men, according to the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
