The National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP National Caretaker Committee, Senator Esther Nenedi Usman has discribed the Late Former President Muhammadu Buhari as a Patriot.
Senator Usman who stated this in a statement also stated that she received “the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who reportedly died in a London hospital,” with deep sorrow.
She also stated that the Late President Buhari was both “a military Head of State and as a democratically elected President.” And that the “Late Buhari served the nation to the best of his capacity.”
Although “Like every human, he had his shortcomings, but his unwavering love for Nigeria – evident in many of the decisions he took both as a military officer and as a statesman – remains undeniable,” she noted.
Senator Usman also stated that “As the nation mourns this departed patriot, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and console all who grieve this profound loss.”
On behalf of the entire Labour Party family, she extend their “heartfelt condolences to his family, associates, and the Nigerian people.”
