The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, @akin_adesina, has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Makarere University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Africa.
Speaking ahead of the educational institution’s 71st Graduation Ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, @ProfNawangwe said the award was given to Dr. Adesina “in recognition of his contribution to science, research and academic leadership, reform and thought leadership, catalyzing Africa’s social and economic progress, and advocacy for development.” #Mak71stGrad
