A Lagos based group, Movement for Greater Lagos, MGL says the inauguration of the Nigeria’s President-elect, Mr. Bola Tinubu on May 29 is sacrosanct and will hold seamlessly, against all odds.
The Group says the inauguration is ordained by God as nobody can stop it.
The Spokesperson of the group, Alhaji Rasak Akanni gave this assurance in Lagos during the inauguration of additional 2,000 members to the group.
Akanni explained that against the backdrop of prophesies, intimidation and courts’ applications aimed at truncating the May 29 inauguration ceremony of the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the day would come and the nation would be better for it.
He described Asiwaju Tinubu as a progressive politician, astute Administrator and a detribalised Nigerian, who has shown commendable progress when he was the Lagos State Governor.
He appealed to all Nigerians to show solidarity for him and further support his aspirations.
Rasak Akanni equally praised the Alhaji Mujahedeen Asari Dokubo-led organizing committee for the success of the sit-out and appealed that the support should be extended to the government that would be inaugurated on 29th May 2023.
According to him “The Pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, has said that all hands must be on deck to ensure a hitch-free inauguration on May 29, just as the group applauded the Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Mr. Usman Alkali and the government of the United States of America for their warning to potential trouble makers to steer off the inauguration venue.
“Against all these pronouncements, we urged all Nigerians to rally round him and let him use his wealth of experience to bring a new Nigeria we have all been clamoring for.
“Whether anybody likes it or not, a new government must take place on the 29th May, 2023 and no other person would be sworn-in than the democratically elected President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Let’s all rally round him, pray for him and support him for a renewed hope,” he said.
The MGL, which is being sponsored by a former Chief of Staff in Lagos State, Mr Olukunle Ojo, has contributed immensely to the path towards emergence of the incoming administration.
The Group had vowed to continue its support for the new government to further develop the country.
