A media consultancy and public relations firm, Hawlaab Media Training and Research Centre is set to sign Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with some NGOs on ways to improve activities around education and the health sector.

The Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Abdulwaheed Adubi, said the collaboration is meant to strengthen awareness amongst people in the rural community on the benefits of healthcare in general.

According to Adubi, some people residing in the rural area who suffer from malaria and malnutrition do not have access to healthcare, except when the NGOs and CSos come to thier aid, stressing that, these efforts made are mostly underreported.

It is against this background that the media consultancy firm is willing to render it’s support to amplify the activities of the NGO, who relentlessly ensure that they bring succor to the common man in those communities.

Adubi emphasised the need to escalate the activities, especially because it impacts the lives of women and children.

He advised that the activities of the NGOs should be anchored on media collaborations for proper reportage while emphasizing institutional synergy as a panacea for exposure.

Rebranding Status

He also advised them to rebrand their status by redesigning their interventions, especially in critical sectors to ensure greater impact and sustainability.

He acknowledging that many interventions and activities of the NGOs in the state are already yielding positive results, while encouraging them to do more.

Speaking on behalf of the Civil Society Organisations on Malaria, Immunisation and Nutrition (ACOMIN), Kaduna state chapter, Diji Haruna mentioned that the media plays a vital role in the life of every NGO, hence the need to create room for proper understanding and trust for the sustainability of the partnership.

Haruna who is the state Chairman of ACOMIN, appreciated the foresight and vision of the firm, as it sets to amplify the activities of the NGOs in the state, adding that the partnership would go a long way to create a system that is sustainable.

Some of the donations made by the NGOs include the distribution of writing materials, mosquitoes, nets, drugs, nutritional meals, and food stuff.
