Minimum Wage: Kwara State Governor meets labour leaders Tuesday

The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will on Tuesday (2nd/ March/ 2021) meet with labour leaders to firm up discussions concerning the consequential adjustment component of the minimum wage.

This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday night by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.

According to the statement, the governor will lead the government’s team to interface with labour leaders to again look at the pending issues concerning the minimum wage.

Earlier, the Kwara State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), threatened to join the industrial action declared by the National body over unpaid Minimum wage and increase in oil prices.

The State Executive Council of the union at its earlier meeting in Ilorin resolved to join the industrial action.
