Naija Super 8: Katsina United Holds Remo Stars
Remo Stars FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Katsina United FC in their Naija Super 8 match, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos State on Sunday.
Both teams created chances before new Remo Stars signing Fabian Nworie opened the scoring with a strike from a corner kick in the 20th minute. Six minutes later, Kastina United found its way back into the encounter after Samson Olasupo’s rebound found the back of the net to make the scores 1-1.
The second half, both teams failed to find the winning goal despite creating a number of chances. The match finished 1-1 as both team shared the spoils in a tense affair.
Remo Stars now leads Group A with four points, while Katsina United FC are in second place with one (1) point from one game in the Naija Super 8 tournament.
The Naija Super 8 tournament is an off-season tournament competed for by representatives of the six geo-political zones in Nigeria and two wild cards.
