The Nasarawa state Normalisation Committee has inaugurated the state local government officials that would pilot the affairs of the Football Association at the grassroots level.
Chairman of the normalization committee, Aliyu Bello, during the inauguration of the Local Government Football Association Chairmen in Lafia charged the 13 local government chairmen and their board members to discharge their responsibility effectively.
He congratulated them for emerging victories, calling on them to carry everyone along to enable them perform optimally for the advancement of football at the grassroot levels across the state.
Bello, also appreciated other stakeholders for contributing their quota to the outcome of the Council Election.
Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, Jafaru Ango reiterated the commitment of the state government to prioritisev sporting activities to develop the talents of Youth in the state.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Barrister Isaac Danladi said the Ministry would continue to play oversight functions not only football but other sporting activities to develop the talents of youths in the state.
Also speaking, Chairman, Nasarawa United FC, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Ahmed, urged the new Board Members to sustain the passion in them by initiating policies and programmes that aimed at developing football at the grassroots level.
He admonished them to build bridges of peace by carrying every stakeholder along and shun acts capable of destroying the development of the round leather game in their various communities.

Mr Mahmoud Lawal, thanked the Normalisation Committee and the state Ministry of Youth and Sports Development for giving them the opportunity to serve at the local government level promising not to disappoint them.
Voice of Nigeria reports that Nigeria Football Federation NFF in June this year setup the Normalisation Committee in the state with the primary objective of restoring stability promote transperacy and ensure the smooth running of football affairs within the Nasarawa state Sports Football Association toward resolving any internal issues for the development of football in the state.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of certificates to the 13 Local Government Areas Football Association Chairmen across the state.
Normalisation Committee also constituted the Electoral and Appeal Committees for the forthcoming State FA election on Saturday 4th November 2023.
