Nasarawa State Distributes Palliatives to Tertiary Institutions

Jubilation echoed through the corridors of tertiary institutions in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, as Governor Abdullahi Sule distributed essential relief packages to alleviate economic hardships faced by students.

With the distribution of 7.5kg bags of rice and five thousand naira each, students welcomed the gesture with gratitude.

Governor Sule personally oversaw the distribution at various tertiary institutions across Lafia metropolis, including the Federal University of Lafia, Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP) Lafia, School of Nursing and Midwifery Lafia, and College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology Lafia.

A total of 8,000 bags of 7.5 kg of rice and five thousand naira each were distributed to 4,000 students of the Federal University of Lafia, aiming to provide sustenance and relief.

Additionally, 1,000 bags of rice and monetary aid were allocated to students of the College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology, and the School of Nursing and Midwifery, benefiting 500 students each.

Governor Sule emphasized that the distribution, which also extended to the Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, with 4,000 bags of rice reaching 2,000 beneficiaries, was part of his commitment to prioritize the welfare of youth and ensure their access to basic necessities.

The initiative reflects the governor’s empathetic and proactive approach to help students navigate the prevailing economic challenges in the country.

The generous relief measures brought a sense of hope and gratitude among students, showcasing Governor Sule’s dedication to supporting the youth during challenging times.
