Nasarawa State: Speaker Commences Grassroots Mobilization Campaign for APC

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Balarabe Abdullahi, has commenced grassroots mobilization campaign for his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of next month’s general election.
The Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi, who represents the APC Umaisha/Ugya constituency, kicked off the ward-to-ward campaign in Shege, one of the biggest wards, to mobilize support for the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Governor Abdullahi Sule; himself; and other APC candidates.
The grassroots ward-to-ward campaign which started with Shege ward will cut across all the six electoral wards of Umaisha, Ugya, Katapha, Dansu and Kenyehu.
According to the Speaker, the second round of the exercise will be tagged to meet the people of Umaisha/Ugya where his campaign team will be meeting the people from door to door to mobilize and galvanize support for victory in his constituency.
While addressing the people of Shege ward who came out en masse to receive him, he appreciated them for the support he has received from them in the last eight years and solicited for more in the coming elections.
Balarabe Abdullahi, who disclosed his reason for re-contesting the State Assembly seat, enumerated the successes, progress, and democratic dividends his people have gained from him and from the state.
He re-assured them of more good things in the years ahead from the present government, if re-elected. (The incumbent governor is seeking a re-election).
Various speakers appreciated the giant strides of the Speaker in the area and his all-inclusiveness, reassuring him of their support in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, the Speaker was at the palace of the first class traditional ruler of the area, Ohimege Opanda His Royal Highness Alh. Usman Abdullahi, where the monarch appreciated the Speaker for living up to expectations, adding that the achievements of Governor Abdullahi Sule in his domain are so obvious.
He commended Governor Sule and the Speaker for touching the lives of his people positively and advocated a peaceful exercise as the election draws nearer.
