National Security: DSS Invites Fani Kayode

The Department of State Security, DSS, in Nigeria has informed the public that a Former Aviation Minster, and an APC Chieftain, Mr. Fani Kayode had been invited to Abuja based on issues of National security on 13th February, 2023.

A Statement signed by the spokesperson of the service, Dr. Peter Afunanya, noted that the invitation was in respect of an investigation of some of his “allegations and insinuations relating to issues relevant to National security.”

Mr. Fani Kayode faced a panel which interviewed him on the subject matter, stating that the service granted him an administrative bail and directed that he makes routine returns to the office with effect from Wednesday 15th February, 2023 till otherwise the investigation, however continues.

Meanwhile, political Parties and their media managers are advised to apply caution in their ‘utterances’ and public communication engagements prior to and after the general election.

This action is to avoid heating up the polity and evoking tendencies that could lead to violent reactions as well as undermine peace and order of the nation,” part of the statement read.
