NCAA Lauds Acting DG Najomo’s Transformative Leadership

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has lauded the accomplishments of its Acting Director General, Captain Chris Najomo, as he marks one year in office.

The Director of the Affairs and Consumer Protection Department at the NCAA, Mr. Michael Achimugu, highlighted Captain Najomo’s transformative leadership in revolutionising the aviation sector in Nigeria.

Under Najomo’s stewardship, the agency has introduced cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art equipment, significantly enhancing passenger satisfaction, safety, and security across Nigerian airports.

While reeling out some of the achievements recorded under Najomo’s leadership, Achimugu said the policy of “Ease of Doing Business Without Compromising Standard” that he has executed in the NCAA in just one year has caused a measurable impact on the agency and aviation industry in general.

He further noted that the Acting Director General had automated most of the NCAA flight data centers that prevent accidents and enhance data collection.

“The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority NCAA Directorate of Air Transport Regulations DATR portal transformation also marks a significant step for where we are today.

“Additionally, the signing of Irrevocable De-registration and Export Request Authorization form IDERA. He also cut down the alleged corruption of inspections by allowing aircraft to be inspected in Nigeria,” he said.

The staff also expressed their confidence in the acting director general in terms of customer satisfaction, safety of passengers, and securing their properties across the Nigerian airports.
