NCF President Seeks Strategic Alliance With Cricket Kenya

The President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), Uyi Akpata, recently met with the Chairman of Cricket Kenya, Manoj Patel and other members of the board and management team to discuss a possible strategic alliance between the two cricket federations.

Akpata said that he was impressed with Kenya’s strong cricket infrastructure. He also said that he was confident that a strategic alliance between the two countries would be beneficial for both parties.

“It was quite an experience, seeing first hand, Kenya’s strong infrastructure platform,” NCF President Akpata said.

“The meeting provided us with an opportunity to see how Cricket Kenya can collaborate with the Nigeria Cricket Federation to make Cricket more prominent in the region.”

A strategic alliance between the NCF and Cricket Kenya would be a positive development for cricket in Africa. The two countries are among the leading cricket nations in the continent,and their combined resources and expertise could help to take the game to new heights.

In line with one of NCF Board’s 3rd strategic pillars for development which hinges on ‘Establishing strategic partnership with national and international bodies’, Kenya has a rich history in Africa and World Cricket. Such collaborations will definitely help the growth and development of the game in Nigeria and Africa by extension.
