New Civil Defence Commandant Promises to Fight Banditry and Terrorism

The new Commandant of the Nigerian Security Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC in Kwara State, Muhammed Tukur has promised to collaborate with other security agencies in fighting the menace of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and drug-related crimes.
Commandant Tukur was speaking when he visited the kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq at the Government House in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
He appreciated the Governor for his support towards the corps and his selfless service to Kwara State.
The Commandant solicited more support for the corps, especially in the area of logistics and befitting permanent office.
In his response, Governor Abdulrazaq commended the efforts of the corps in providing security for the state and urged the Commandant to keep the flag flying to justify the confidence reposed on the corps by society.
The Governor expressed his utmost concern on the spate of banditry, kidnapping and Farmer/Herders clashes.
He therefore charged the Commandant to foster more collaborations to fight the underlined issues and promised to look into the requests of the commandant.
