Equities transactions on the Nigerian Exchange ended bullish in Mid-week trading on Wednesday seeing the all share index rise by 1.63% to close trading at 116,786.87 as against 114, 910.16 basis point on Tuesday.
Similarly, the market capitalisation appreciated by N1.3 trillion to close at N73.68 trillion.
The market sentiment also maintained the bullish trend to close with 37 gainers relative to 31 decliners.
NEMS Insurance Company led the gainers with a closing price of N16.50k, followed by Seplat Petroleum Development Company which closed at N5,450 and Thomas Wyatt Nigeria with a closing price of N2.03k.
Conversely, Eterna , Secure Electronic Technology and Legend Internet emerged as the last three decliners with closing prices of N38.70k, N0.56k and N6.55k respectively.
Zenith Bank had the highest volume of 150 million trade shares followed by Access Holdings with 48.6 million shares.
At the end of the day’s trading, a total of 640, 082 million shares valued at N26.01 billion were traded in 19, 727 deals on Wednesday .
