Niger Partners Morocco On Agriculture

The Niger State Government has expressed a desire to collaborate with Morocco on agriculture to improve productivity, promote sustainable methods, and strengthen food security.

Speaking at a meeting in Abuja with Moroccan Ambassador to Nigeria Moha Ou Ali Tagma, Niger’s State Governor Muhammed Umar Bago said that cooperation in the sector is “to increase agricultural productivity.”

According to Niger State Governor’s spokesman, Bologi Ibrahim, “the meeting was vital, given that Morocco has provided the state government with advancements in technology and agricultural methods.”

He added that the alliance was “also beneficial in the areas of education and health because it fosters educational and cultural programs, as well as the exchange of expertise in the provision of medical care, medical education, and disease prevention.”

The partnership also covers energy and rail transport to hasten the state’s growth and development.

Morocco and Nigeria have strong ties and cooperation on various fronts, including agriculture and energy to be provided for 400 million people in 13 countries.
