Niger State APC Gubernatorial aspirant promises 35% affirmative for women

An APC Gubernatorial aspirant in Niger State North Central Nigeria, Alhaj Umaru Bago has pledged to implement the 35 percent United Nation’s, (UN) affirmative action for women if elected governor.
The aspirant stated this when he received a delegation from Convener and National Coordinator of Progressive Ambassadors for Tinubu/Shettima 2023, (PATS4BATS 2023), Hajiya Aisha Halilu.
“I support the 35% United Nation’s affirmative on Women for political and other appointments, as there are professional women in many fields of human endeavor, ranging from medicine, engineering and humanities.
” I call on Women to vote for my presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Sanator Kashim Shettima for President and Vice respectively and I as Governor of Niger State and other candidates of the APC for Nigerians to yield the dividend of democracy.”
Hajiya Halilu,who said she’s leading the delegation to show there support to Bago because of his track record of empowering the people, especially Women in Niger State.
She added that her movement will redouble their efforts in sensitising women, especially in rural areas of Niger State in making sure the APC candidate both for President and gubernatorial emerged winners.
The group later inaugurated him as the Ambassador of PATS4BATS 2023 and said that he will not relent in supporting women emancipation.
