Niger Tornadoes Management Committee Pledges Support To Niger Amazons

The Niger Tornadoes Management Committee (TMC) has pledged its unwavering support to the state’s female football team, the Niger Amazons, in a bid to ensure their success.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of TMC, Ibrahim Dada, during a courtesy visit by members and officials of the Niger Amazons at the Tornadoes FC secretariat in Minna.

Dada, who recognised the Niger Amazons as one of the nation’s premier teams, commended their significant contributions to the state, particularly in the realm of women’s football despite the various challenges they’ve encountered.

Describing the team’s visit as timely and crucial, Dada assured them of his steadfast support, as well as that of the entire management team. He also committed to addressing the team’s concerns by engaging with the sports ministry to find lasting solutions to the challenges they face.

Speaking on behalf of the Niger Amazons, Coach Yahaya Ibrahim Ladan expressed gratitude to the Chairman for making time to receive them despite his busy schedule.

Coach Ladan stated that their visit aimed to congratulate Dada on his recent appointment as Chairman of TMC and to provide insights into the team’s upcoming programs and activities. Additionally, they sought support from the current management.

In a brief statement, the Vice Chairman of the Amazons, Patrick Onaze, expressed appreciation for the warm reception by the chairman and extended best wishes for his new role as Chairman of the Tornadoes Management Committee.

The Niger Tornadoes Management Committee’s commitment to collaborating with the Niger Amazons is expected to bolster the female football team’s efforts and elevate women’s football in the state.
