Nigeria’s Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barrister Abdullahi Mohammed said Nigeria will leverage on the technological capacities of European countries such as Poland for the development of Science, Technology and Innovation in Nigeria.
Barrister Mohammed stated this when he received the Ambassador of Poland to Nigeria, Joanna Tarnawaska who is on a working visit, in his office in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Minister further said that Nigeria, in line with her economic sustainability and diversity programme will strengthen its ties with Poland, adding that the bilateral relations would be to the mutual benefits of both countries.
He reiterated the determination of the Federal Government to diversify the economy, advance technology, create employment and lift millions of Nigeria out of poverty.
In her remarks the Polish Ambassador, Joanna Tarnawaska said that her country is actively seeking avenues to cooperate with Nigeria, especially in the areas of Science, Technology and Innovation.
She praised the prowess of Nigerians in various field of human endeavors, adding that cooperation between Poland and Nigeria will stimulate socio- economic prosperity of both countries.
