Nigeria Hails Guinea On Independence Anniversary

Nigeria has congratulated the Republic of Guinea on the occasion of its Independence Anniversary.

In a message conveyed on behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, extended warm felicitations to his Guinean counterpart, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, and Guineans Abroad.

Ambassador Tuggar described the celebration as a proud moment not only for the people of Guinea but for Africa as a whole, recalling the determination and vision that marked Guinea’s historic path to sovereignty and national progress.

He highlighted the long-standing bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Nigeria and Guinea, noting that the two nations share common struggles and a commitment to African unity and regional integration.

He said Nigeria looks forward to deepening collaboration with Guinea in strategic areas such as trade, energy, education, security, and good governance, particularly under the frameworks of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU).

The Minister commended Guinea’s dedication to peace, development, and regional cooperation, expressing confidence in the continued strengthening of bilateral relations for the mutual prosperity of both countries.
