Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa, will be hosting an international conference and exhibition on power and water in Lagos, the commercial hub of the nation.
The event is being organized by Vertex, an American company, in partnership with the government and private sector.
Major players in the water and power sectors of the economy will be converging on the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, venue of the event.
The programme will last from Tuesday, 21st June to Thursday, 23rd June 2022.

The exhibition offers an annual platform for buyers to explore and compare innovative technologies from leading local and international suppliers.

According to statistics, Nigeria has the 7th largest population in the world, which is fast-growing. As a result, the supply of power and water will need to increase to keep up with the growing demands.
With just over 51% of the population having access to power sometimes, the lack of power has been the biggest obstacle for the country to grow.
The water sector, on the other hand, faces similar challenges with 71% of the population having access to safe water. This has been attributed to climate change; however, research shows there is a much-needed upgrade in the water supply infrastructure.

Details on the programme and participation are stated on the power Nigeria website,  https://pnwnigeria.com/
