The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC ) have agreed to work together to curb illegal migration.

The NSCDC Commandant in Osun State, Mr Sunday Agboola, made this known in Osogbo, the state’s capital during a courtesy visit by the NIS state Comptroller, Mr Timothy Olasiyan.

Agboola said that both agencies would ensure strong collaboration to track illegal migrants, as part of measures to tackle insecurity.

According to him, the security of lives and property in the country is paramount to the agencies.

”The need for all security agencies to deploy every arsenal at their disposal to bring the spate of insecurity to an end is very important.”

The NSCDC commandant, therefore, urged all stakeholders involved in the protection of lives and properties in the state to join hands in ensuring their safety.
