Governor Idris, while inspecting the vehicles, welcomed the deployment and said “the armoured vehicles would be deployed to identified security flashpoints.”
He said; “the move reflects the Nigerian government directives to improve internal security and added that the security situation in Kebbi State has shown signs of improvement.”
The Governor commended security agencies for their prompt response to emergencies and promised that his administration would continue to support them to enhance their operational effectiveness.
He also said he had directed his Special Adviser on Security, retired Colonel Danladi Hassan Ribah, to work with security chiefs on strategies to deploy personnel to border areas with Zamfara and Niger States to protect farmlands and ensure the safe harvesting of crops.
