The high-level meeting, part of Musawa’s official visit to China, centred on the swift implementation of existing memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two nations and updating agreements to encompass emerging areas in culture, tourism, and the creative industries. The discussions further explored investment opportunities in infrastructure to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Building on the momentum of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent state visit to China, both ministers agreed on practical steps to translate cultural diplomacy into concrete outcomes.
A key aspect of the engagement was the presentation by the managing director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, Ali Nuhu, who outlined opportunities for collaboration within Nigeria’s growing film industry, highlighting its potential as a platform for cultural exchange and investment.
