Team Nigeria dominated both 4x100m finals to close out Day 1 of the CAA Region II Championships in Accra, defeating hosts Ghana to clinch the Gold medals in both races.
The Nigerian quartet of Iyanuoluwa Bada, Maria Thompson, Olayinka Olajide and Chioma Nweke brought round the baton to win GOLD in a time of 44.92s.
Burkina Faso won the Silver medal in 46.56s and Ghana settling for the Bronze medal in 46.71s.
Men’s 4x100m Relay
In the men’s category, team Nigeria continued its winning streak over Ghana, beating the Ghanaians at the line to snatch the Gold medal.

Nigeria’s quartet of Chidera Ezeakor, Gafar Audu, James Taiwo Emmanuel and Olaolu Olatunde (anchor leg) chased down Ghana in the home straight to clock a Season’s Best (SB) of 39.74s for Gold.
Team Ghana got the Silver medal in 39.75s while Burkina Faso Bronze in 40.95s.
