Nigerian Afrobeats star Phaemous collaborates with UK producer DJames

Nigerian Afrobeats Artist, Phaemous, and Internationally acclaimed UK disc jockey cum producer, DJames have joined forces to thrilled their fans with a beautiful rhythm and blues (R&B) project called ‘Boundaries‘.

The new album is Written by Phaemous and produced by DJames, the extended play (EP), a five-track project was crafted between Lagos and London. The project brilliantly merged R&B soundscapes and melodies with minimalist Afrobeats sensibilities to excellent effects.
With Boundaries, the artiste and producer pair explore themes around love and relationships, from first date jitters and expectations, and being ghosted by a crush to searching for how best to show love and affection, and expressing how you feel to a love interest.

In the project with the head-bopping MIA sees Phaemous lamenting how his love interest went AWOL on him over DJames’ melodious saxophone arrangements, the artiste (Phaemous) speaking about the inspiration behind the project, he said “The entire project is inspired by the love that DJames and I both have for R&B, as well as, Afrobeats, which is why we were able to infuse both genres to deliver such a satisfying listening experience. We wanted a chance to show our versatility, and I believe we did just that.”
