The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to education and community development.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony of a renovated multipurpose science laboratory at Government Day Secondary School Jaji in Kaduna State, Oluyede emphasised the importance of education in shaping the future of the community.
Represented by the Commander Training and Doctrine Command, Major General Kelvin Aligbe, he said the renovated laboratory is part of the Nigerian Army’s Civil-Military Cooperation initiative is aimed at improving the lives and educational standards of host communities across the country.
The project which is in commemoration of the 2025 Army Day Celebration NADCEL included the provision of laboratory equipment, consumables, a generator, and water borehole repair.
Oluyede noted that the Nigerian Army’s commitment to education reflects its dedication to nation-building and fostering the next generation of leaders and innovators.
He however urged the school community to maintain the facilities to enhance the educational well-being of students.
The Chief of Army Staff expressed gratitude to the people of Jaji and Kaduna State for their continued support of the Nigerian Army.
He also acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for his relentless support to the Nigerian Army.
Oluyede assured the community that the Nigerian Army would continue to execute responsive, quick-impact projects to ameliorate the challenges of communities within their areas of operation and beyond.
He urged the people of Kaduna State to sustain their support and collaboration with the troops for more successful operations.
