The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) has reaffirmed its role as a hub of excellence and transformation, inspiring participants to become proud ambassadors and advocates of the Centre’s unique impact on leadership and professional development.

The Special Guest of Honour and the Director of the Training Department of the State Service, Olufemi  Shotayo stated this during the Luncheon of the Graduation ceremony for Strategic Management and Policy Studies COURSE 7/2024in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The speaker urged participants to uphold the values and knowledge gained from their time at the Centre, emphasising that their future conduct and performance should reflect the high standards and discipline instilled at NARC.

He expressed optimism that the participants would go on to distinguish themselves wherever duty calls, thereby reinforcing the Centre’s growing reputation.

The NARC experience is not passive but one that transforms minds and shapes careers, stating that you cannot come to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and do nothing”, he said.

Shotayo stressed that the successful completion of this year’s program marks a significant milestone, as participants not only graduate with their Master’s degrees but also earn a prestigious Fellowship for the Resource Centre as an achievement that reflects the substantial investments made by their respective agencies.

According to him, the culmination of the program represents more than just academic success as it is a testament to the resources, trust, and commitment that various agencies have dedicated to the development of their staff.

“These agencies believed in the vision and capacity of their representatives, enabling them to attain both academic and professional milestones through sustained support”, he said.

The Special Guest of Honour further encouraged others to aspire to join the Centre, describing it as a place where meaningful engagement, strategic thinking, and personal growth are inevitable.

He ended his remarks with best wishes to the participants and a call for applause to appreciate the Special Guest Performance.

In his welcome address, the Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Retired Major General Garba Wahab said that at the heart of the Centre lies a unique “fish-making garden” a tranquil space created for participants to relax, reflect, and celebrate their journey.

According to him, after spending 11 months immersed in activities and growth, they need to be celebrated for a job well done in the course of their study.

“The garden is more than just a place; it’s a symbol of shared experience”, he said.

The host warmly welcomes everyone and encourages them to relax and enjoy the meal, repeating the word “lunch” with enthusiasm to signal the mealtime officially.

He encouraged everyone to take more, eat more and enjoy the feast together.
