A high-level federal government delegation has arrived in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, to receive the remains of the late Nigerian business mogul and elder statesman, Aminu Dantata, ahead of his burial.
The late Dantata passed away in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Saturday at the age of 94.

The Special Assistant to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Rabiu Ibrahim, who made this known in a statement, further disclosed that the delegation, which departed Nigeria late on Sunday, arrived in the Islamic holy city in the early hours of Monday.
“It is led by the Minister of Defence and former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
“Other members include the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; and the Minister of State for Housing Development, Honourable Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.”
The delegation, led by Minister of Defence Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, includes Justice Minister Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Information Minister Mohammed Idris and Housing Minister of State Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.

Also accompanying the delegation are prominent Islamic clerics, including Dr Bashir Aliyu Umar, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, and Khalifa Abdullahi Muhammad, the Imam of Dantata Mosque in Abuja.
They are joined by officials of the Nigerian Consulate General in Jeddah, led by Ambassador Muazzam Ibrahim Nayaya, who has been coordinating arrangements for the funeral, scheduled to take place later on Monday.
Aminu Alhassan Dantata, born on 19th May 1931, was a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist who was one of the promoters of the Kano State Foundation, an endowment fund that supported educational initiatives and provided grants to small-scale entrepreneurs in Kano.
