The Nigerian teenage duo of Karim Adeyemi and Noah Okafor combined to score the only goal for youthful FC Red Bull Salzburg to beat Spanish side Sevilla in a UEFA champions league match.

The win ensured the Austrian side progressed for the first time to the knock-out stage of the competition.

Having held the more experienced Spanish side in the first half, the youthful Salzburg side got their reward on 48 minutes.

Adeyemi broke free off his marker, pounced clinically by laying a delicious ball across for Noah Okafor, who converted coolly to make it 1-0.

Okafor nearly doubled the score after leaving the Sevilla defence for dead – but he just missed by inches.

The result marked Salzburg’s third Champions League win of the season and secured second spot in Group G – behind Lille.
