Nigerian Family TV Series, ‘The Johnsons’ Takes a Bow
After 13 years on screen, the popular Nigerian award winning family TV series ‘The Johnsons’ has taken a bow.
Charles Inojie, the actor who played the character of Lucky Johnson recently announced that the show would be taking its final bow after a remarkable 13-year run.
The announcement was made on Inojie’s Instagram, where he shared snapshots from the set and heartfelt words of gratitude towards loyal viewers and talented cast for sticking with them for 13 years.
He wrote:
“THANK YOU, AFRICA. After 13 years of absolute magic, 13 years of awesomeness, 13 years of being Africa’s most watched show on television, 13 years of being every family’s favorite, THE JOHNSONS is finally taking a bow.”
Directed by Charles Inojie, the dramatic comedy, The Johnsons is a Nigerian TV series produced by Rogers Ofime which airs on Africa Magic. It focuses on an average Nigerian family in Lagos, Nigeria and the challenges they face.
