The Nigerian Government has felicitated with Christians at Christmas, describing the celebrations as a season of love, steeped in sacrifice and hope.

In a statement, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris said the period is a moment of sharing love, care and hope for the best.

These values remind us to care for one another, remain united, and keep faith in our country, even in challenging times.

The Information Minister expressed the Government resolve to ensuring that Nigerians benefit from their labour of love for the country.

Indeed, the patience and resilience of Nigerians will not be taken for granted by the government, and neither will the sweat and toil of Nigerians go in vain,” he said.

The Minister reiterated President Tinubu’s led Government’s commitment to building a more safer, protected and prosperous Nigeria.

The Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains focused on building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria for all. As we celebrate, let us remember those facing difficulties, and pray for families affected by the acts of terror, and have a special place in our hearts for our security personnel, who continue to defend our lives, property, and homeland, from all forms of threats”, he added.

Christians and all Nigerians were urged to use the season to promote peace, kindness, and unity in our homes and communities.

While wishing them a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year with God’s blessings.
