Nigerian have commended table tennis icon Aruna Quadri for his heroic outing at the ITTF World Championship.
Popular comedian Ime Bishop Umoh popularly called Okon Lagos said Aruna is indeed a hero.
“Very very proud of u brother,” Okon said via instagram.
Another comedian Woli Arole said Quadri would serve as a mentor to up-and-coming table tennis stars.
“Well done my son,” he wrote also in Instagram.
Salahudeen Ibrahim, an entrepreneur hailed Quadri’s great performance, adding that he had made the entire Africa proud.
The 36-year old Quadri was beaten in the quarter-finals of the tournament currently holding in USA .
But he has become the first African to reach the last eight.
