The highly anticipated match between Nigeria and Zambia at the IHF World Handball Trophy Africa Men Continental Phase has been rescheduled to today, Sunday. Initially set for Saturday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Coach Emeka Nnamani’s team, defending champions of the continental phase, arrived in Ethiopia on Saturday morning via Ethiopia Airways after flight scheduling issues delayed their departure.

Today’s match against Zambia is slated for 1 p.m. Nigerian time at the Ethiopia Sports Centre. The team will then face host Ethiopia on Monday.

Handball Federation of Nigeria President Samuel Ocheho commended the International Handball Federation for accommodating the rescheduling.

Nigeria secured its spot in the continental phase by defeating Ghana 33-25 in the IHF Trophy Men Africa Zone 3 Phase in Accra, Ghana.
