Speaking at an event marked by vibrant colours and national symbolism, the NIPR boss said, “The theme of today’s discussion aligns perfectly with the nation’s aspirations. That’s why the hall is not adorned in black but in the colours that reflect the Nigeria we all desire.”

He urged the VON DG to go a step further by building on four key pillars – democracy, diaspora engagement, development and deliberate communication strategies as tools for national image-building and public diplomacy.
Calling for greater synergy among government institutions, he recommended that VON convene a collaborative forum involving all ministries under the Ministry of Information and National Orientation to foster consistent dialogue and shared strategies.
“The reputation of Nigeria must be managed by professionals,” he stressed, adding that image-making for a nation is not a matter of chance but of coordinated expertise and commitment.
